Our audience skews older, and a lot of them are reading this at two in the morning. Making the site easy to use is not a compliance exercise for us.
What we've done
- Body text at 18 pixels, and nothing anywhere below 16
- Colour contrast meeting WCAG 2.1 AA throughout
- Every interactive element reachable and operable by keyboard, with a visible focus ring
- Tap targets of at least 44 pixels
- Labels above form fields, always visible, never a placeholder standing in for a label
- Line length capped so paragraphs stay readable
- Animation disabled automatically when your device asks for reduced motion
- Real headings, landmarks and alt text, so screen readers get a sensible page
Where we fall short
Accessibility is never finished. If something on this site is hard for you to use, we would rather hear it than not.
